Zimmerman 8/4/17

This week the excavator started digging for the septic system. He has both tanks placed, and sewer pipe run from the houses to the tanks. He’ll get those inspected early next week, then move on to the leach field. The masons are working on the bluestone kitchen terrace, and also inside. They’ve set both lintels, and are quickly working their way up the great room fireplace wall and it looks great. Cabinets for the guest wing arrived, and should be ready for templating on Monday. The trim crew is hard at work installing doors in the master wing, and finishing up door trim. We have all the flooring from the Mill in Idaho on site now, awaiting install in the coming weeks. The drywall crew is installing the last of the sheetrock in the mechanical rooms so the respective trades can continue work down there. The painters have been hitting the guest house hard, finishing up stain and lacquer on the baseboard and remaining trim, and the final coat on the walls. They’ll return to the guest wing next week – no shortage of work for them here! Another crew is also working outside on covering the last of the exposed tyvek with the remaining applied timbers and knee braces, and should finish that up next week.
