This week was focused on getting the basement concrete slab poured. The excavator mobilized with his skidsteer and compactor inside the basement in order to prep with structural fill and washed rock. The plumber and electrician were on site setting the in-slab drain lines, sewer lift station, floor drains, and floor outlet boxes. The insulator then sprayed 2″ of foam insulation on the slab prep surface, and the concrete crew began their prep. After passing inspections on under-slab plumbing and insulation, the concrete was poured Thursday morning early. The crew is back today cutting the joints and applying curing compound. The slab looks great, and we should we ready to start laying floor joists next week. We passed the shear wall inspection for the ARU on Wednesday, and the framing crew will work on install of the timbers and porch roof until the concrete crew is finished.
