Bob & Stacey –

Another week with afternoon thunderstorms, but the outhouses stayed upright.  The exterior siding is finished, except for the doors on the electrical service closet, which will be built and sided next week.  The garage doors are on order, along with the siding and trim for covering them.  We will be using the same barn wood on the garage doors, but milled to a slightly narrower profile as shown on the elevations.  The carpenters are done with the trim in the upstairs bedrooms, and are installing the baseboard in the upstairs hallway.  The trim is done in the Guest Master Suite, and they will move into Bob’s Office and the Library, and the Mud Room next.  The wood floor is continuing on the main level, finishing the Gallery, and starting in the Dining Room and Living Room.  The cabinets are installed in the Maid’s Room, basement hallway, and Rodger is currently working in the Wine Room.  The masons are setting the bluestone on the east terrace, and are almost halfway done.  We set the hot tub in place on Tuesday morning, and just need to frame the east wall where the access panel is so that the mason can start installing the stone veneer on the walls.  The buff sandstone is on order for the cap around the tub, and should be arriving in a week or so.  Jeff Morris has most of the Library fireplace facade in place, just need a few more pieces which he will install tomorrow, and then the mason will set the stone hearth.  As you know, Bonny got the perennials ordered, so we should be ready to go when the landscaper needs the plantings.  – – – Dave
