Bob & Stacey –
The framing crew is working in the basement, setting all of the partition walls. They have finished most of the perimeter walls covering up the foundation walls, and are working from each end towards the middle of the basement with the interior walls. The subs. – electrical, plumbing, and heating, will start their rough-in on Monday. The framers also have their timber crew working on the timbers at the Family Room Terrace. They have the columns and plate beams up, and will be setting the timber truss and timber rafters next week. The mason has started the fireplaces, working on the Family Room and Family Room Terrace fireplaces. I will meet with them tomorrow morning to go over the brick corbels on the outside fireplace, for future grilling over a wood fire. The rest of the Zola windows showed up today, they were delayed a day by the spring blizzard hitting the eastern part of the state. We off-loaded them down below and shuttled them up the hill, just like the first container. The crew was starting to set windows this afternoon, always a big milestone on a house as it really changes the look of the house, and makes it more comfortable inside! Still mud season, with mostly snow showers and a little sun this week. Supposed to be a nice weekend, with our first 50 degree temps. of the year predicted. – – Dave
