Snowy start to this week, with snow over the weekend continuing into Monday and Tuesday. We were plowed and dug out early each morning, so the subs. could get to work. The drywall crew is taping the upper floor, and should start texture soon. Another crew of drywall hangers start today on the main floor, which was stocked with drywall on Tuesday. How that delivery truck pulling a trailer got in and out of the job site is a miracle. We plowed the driveway beforehand, but it was barely wide enough for a pickup truck. We have a loader scheduled to come push back the snow banks, hopefully today! The carpenters are continuing with timber work on the main level, in the Gallery. They are hanging doors in the basement, and completing framing details on the main level ahead of drywall. The painters are finishing the window sills on the main level. They will be working on the color samples you requested, and will have them ready for your visit late next week. Heart Four Ironworks is working on the Family Room and Master Bedroom fireplace doors and steel panel, and we should be installing them next week and getting the masons going inside. The stair builder shipped a sample of the steel stringer yesterday, and hopefully we have it in time for your visit. Happy New Year! – – – Dave
