Bob & Stacey –

The carpenters finished installing the barnwood soffit on the entry this week, and are laying the plywood shear layer over the soffit, and then the roofers can get their work completed in that area.  The interior doors and faux trim are being installed upstairs, and we should start stocking drywall on the upper level next week, ahead of the interior sound insulation.  The siding crew was working on the upper level, west end of the house.  The masons worked on the stone around the stairwell window wall, the entry, and the entry west retaining wall.  They also set the upper chimney caps on both chimneys.  The insulator sprayed down 2″ of foam under the front entry and entry walkway, and the concrete sub. will form those areas next week.  The electricians are working in the lower level, roughing-in light fixtures, outlets, and switches.  They are also installing the electrical service on the back side of the garage, and we will be switching over from temporary power to the main service late next week.  The plumbers are working in the Mechanical Room, tying-in the waterline from the well and connecting the drain lines.  The excavator is working on the leach field.  Some of the tile was delivered to the site this week, and we are storing it undercover on the Family Room terrace.  Very windy today as a front arrived, the clouds are lowering and the rain has started.  Supposed to be a wet weekend and start to the week, with clearing later next week.  – – – Dave
