John & Marlene –
It’s getting busy! The carpenters are installing siding and corner boards, and they’ve also started laying down the sleepers (2×4’s laid flat, for the floor heat) on the main floor. The radiant heat crew will follow late next week with the hydronic tubing between the sleepers, and then we pour 1 1/2″ of concrete over the tubing. The plumbers and the electricians are roughing in, and the HVAC crew was out this week to take measurements and start fabricating the ductwork. The roofers are working on the standing seam metal on the lower roofs, and then will get back on the upper roof to finish the cedar shakes. We’ve cleaned out the Garage, and the insulator will be here next Wed. to spray down the foam insulation, ahead of pouring the slab. The temporary pump has been set in the well, and the electrician should have that wired up next week, so the masons will have water when they start setting stone. – – – Dave
