Harris 9/3/15

This week was a busy one! On Monday the insulators sprayed the foam insulation on the garage floor in preparation for the concrete pour. Tuesday morning at 7 am the concrete truck showed up and we poured the slab. Air temperature was a brisk 33 degrees, but quickly warmed up! They returned Wednesday to saw cut the joints in the slab. The framing crew began the exterior sheathing Monday afternoon, made their way around the building, and moved on to cutting out the windows. Interior walls are taking shape – especially the media room/mudroom wing. The second floor above them is also framed up and sheeted with plywood.

The first part of the truss package was delivered Tuesday afternoon. This includes the master/office wing, the bedrooms wing, and the garage attic trusses. The rest of the truss package was delivered today, so we have a pretty complete package on site to see us through the dry-in.

Jeld-Wen is ready to produce the final window quote for the Haverstraw Custom windows, pending hardware color decision and final review – we can then sign the contract. As soon as we receive payment from the Bank, we will confirm the order and get the windows into production.
