The carpenters continued on the ext. siding this week, cutting the exterior beam ends, and setting the man-door at the Garage. The trim carpenters were onsite for a few days, and installed the window sills in the Den/Game Room. The interior trim arrived, and as soon as the interior doors arrive next Tuesday, the trim carpenters will return. The masons finished up the stone veneer on the retaining wall, and will be taking down the tent tomorrow, and moving into the basement to install the stone on the fireplace. With the tent out of the way, the carpenters will start on the deck framing next week. We mounted the basement mantle bracket today, and will install the mantle tomorrow. We moved the mantle up app. 4″ to meet the building code clearance requirements. The drywall hangers were back onsite today, and will finish hanging the main level by Monday, when we have a drywall inspection scheduled. The drywall finish crew will start Monday afternoon, and will hopefully stay on the job until complete, as they did on the lower level. We had the concrete cutting/finishing crew onsite today, grinding the basement slab ahead of putting on the radon sealer, which is due to arrive on Tuesday. – – – Dave
