The masons made a lot of progress this week. They completed the exterior fireplace, including the lintel, mantel, corbels, and remaining stone veneer. They’ve moved inside and are laying stone for the base of the hearth, which they’ll bring in tomorrow.  We also had two truckloads of bluestone delivered last Friday, so there are 20+ palettes around the site awaiting install. The carpenters finished the plywood subfloor on the main level, and the trim crew is mostly complete with window trim in the master wing. Today we took delivery of all the remaining first floor doors, including the pocket doors. The oak flooring was also delivered, including the stair treads, and is stacked and stored in the great room until install. The painters are still working in the east wing. They’ve prepped all the trim and baseboard for stain and lacquer, and are working right now on removing and staining all the windows and doors. The sheetrock crew is finishing texture and final sanding in the basement, which is now ready for paint. Tile guys prepped the remaining tile floors, and have the office powder and laundry room tile set. The baseboard is finished in the ARU, and the doors have been rehung. The cabinet installers are back as well, and have installed the toe kick, top shelf, and door/drawer pulls. The electrician has trimmed out all ceiling fixtures there, and will be back after the final coat of wall paint for the remaining trim out.
