The excavator finished digging the ARU this week, and Pierson LW mobilized again to stake points in the hole for the foundation. They were also able to stake some points in the west crawlspace of the main house, and pinned several of the piers for the terrace timbers and exterior fireplace. The driveway is completely dug out and compacted with pit run, including the driveway circle. They have a good start on the basement dig as well. The excavator did encounter some questionable soils on Wednesday afternoon, and we were able to quickly mobilize Teton Geotechnical for a site visit. He confirmed that the soils were consistent with his expectations and didn’t pose an issue. We expect the concrete sub to start working on the ARU footers next week while the excavator continues digging the main house.
