The framing of the north dormer is completed, and it’s dried-in. The remaining original roof framing in that area has been removed, and the transformation upstairs is dramatic. The crew is now working on re-building the wall between the stairwell and Bath 215 (Grant & Rebecca’s Bath), so that they can complete the roof framing above that area. We should have the details for the work around the Hot Tub Room by tomorrow from the structural engineer, so first thing next week we will start on that, so we can get the rest of the concrete work done at the terrace area, and start backfilling. We finally got to see the interior stain sample from the window manufacturer, and while the color is spot on, it was just a shade too dark. We’ve had them overnight it back to Jeldwen, with instructions and further samples of the existing stain color, to lighten it slightly, and then overnight us the new sample. Hopefully we will see that early next week, and then we can place the order. – – -Dave
