Seems like we’ve jumped right into summer, mid-80’s and sunny. A good time to open up the roof, so the carpenters started on the north dormer, getting the rafters cut at the north face of the dormer, and inserting the beam that runs E-W that will carry the dormer. They installed the posts in the walls at each end, that support the beam. The other half of the crew is working on the upper level floor framing over the Master Bedroom and Hot Tub areas. The excavator will be starting tomorrow on the slab removal/excavation at the back terrace. We are still waiting on the stain sample from JeldWen, so that we can order the windows. I have been assured that we should see it no later than Monday. – – – Dave
