Cool and wet this week, finally clearing today. Luckily the tarps and plastic are doing the job of keeping the rain out. The carpenters worked on installing columns, beams, and headers in the existing walls, hanging the steel columns in the crawlspace ahead of the concrete pour, and removing small sections of roof framing from below, working under the tarps. They have also started to prep. the steel beam in the Master Bedroom ceiling to receive the upper level floor framing. The excavator got pushed back due to the wet weather on their other jobs, and our site will need a few days of sun to dry out enough to get equipment around to the back of the house. We should see them onsite by the middle of next week. We are still awaiting the stain sample from JeldWen windows, which needs to be approved before they will place our order. If it comes in tomorrow, I will get it to Kurt for review. – – – Dave
