The beautiful weather continued this week. We hoisted the 3 large door units over the house with a crane, and set them in the openings. Now, all of the windows and doors are set, except for the 3 windows at the Covered Patio. Those will have to wait until we have the waterproof membrane down on the deck above. The carpenters worked on the fascia and soffit, interior framing, and framing the “dormer” over the door from Bedroom 206 onto the upstairs deck. The plumbers have started their rough-in, which has required cutting more openings in the main level ceilings, in order to access the existing plumbing, and for the new plumbing. The electricians will be starting next week, along with the HVAC crew. We’ve also worked on site clean-up, as the weather is finally supposed to turn towards winter starting Saturday night, and into next week. The masons will be starting after the holidays, which is later than originally planned. They are going to bring a big crew when they show up, so they will hit it hard, and do a great job, as always. – – – Dave
