On the upper floor, all of the wood flooring is installed, except for a few areas in the hallway/bridge. Sanding and staining/finish will start next week. The floor tiles have been ordered for the Master Bath, and the Guest Master Bath. We should be seeing countertops and slab trim for the Kid’s Baths soon, which will allow the tile installer to finish those areas. On the main level, the carpenters are working on the Living Room ceiling. Most of the barnwood is up on the ceiling, and they hoisted one of the purlins up onto the scaffolding today to get ready to scaffold across the whole room for the rafter work. They will get both purlins up on the scaffolding before building their work platform, so they will be ready to install when the rafters are done. The trim and timber work is continuing in the stairwell. The masons are working on the stone veneer in the Family Room. The painters are painting in the Dining Room, Library, Powder Room 105, and Office, and getting ready to start the Laundry Room. The rest of the wood flooring for the main level arrived yesterday, and we will be starting install on the main level next week. In the basement, the drywall crew is almost finished hanging, and will start tape & texture next week. Sure brightened things up in the basement just having the drywall up! – – – Dave
