Bob & Stacey –

Spring thaw continues, and with it, mud season.  We’ve lost our back parking lot, and access around to the back of the house, until things dry out, which could be awhile, depending on if we get more precipitation over the next couple of months.  At least with the melt, the driveway is widening, so we can park along the driveway.  Luckily, we are working indoors, and making good progress.  The drywallers stocked the basement yesterday, and the hangers are working today.  Ahead of the drywallers this week, rough-in and insulation was completed in the basement.  The insulators were installing the spray foam in the crawlspaces yesterday.  The wood flooring installation on the upper level is done, except for a few areas on the bridge/hallway that need to be left open for railing newel posts and stair brackets.  The carpenters are continuing on the timbers and reclaimed trim on both large window walls, and installing the barnwood on the Living Room ceiling.  The last of the framing in the basement was finished up, mostly a dropped ceiling in the Maid’s Bath and prepping for the window wall in the Exercise Room.  They will also have a crew starting next week on the exterior siding that remains to be done. The last of the drywall texture is being done on the Main Level, and the painters are painting walls and ceilings.  Cabinet installation on the Main Level is also moving well, with the Kitchen done, and Roger now working in Bob’s Office.  Dan is templating for the Kitchen Island top, and our steel fabricator will be over early next week to measure for the steel frame to carry the countertop over the seating areas.  – – – Dave
