John & Marlene –

Always amused that today is the first day of winter, and we’ve been dealing with it for months!  While we got off to a good start with the snow in November, it has dropped off a bit this month.  The cabinet installation is in full swing, with the Kitchen installation finishing up yesterday, and the Master Bath vanity also installed.  The drywall and painting is still being finished on the west side of the Master Bath, around the interior windows, so they’ve held off installing the open shelf unit in that area for now.  The Laundry Room, Ski Room, and closets/Garage are next.  We are still waiting for the last box of tile for the Master Bath floor, and we’re told it should arrive today.  The painters will have the east end of the upstairs done by the first week of Jan., and the Master Suite is mostly done, they just need to lacquer the trim and doors.  The wood flooring is installed, except for the stairs, which will be starting just after the 1st of the year.  We met with Chris this week on the railing design, and should be seeing some detail drawings on that soon.  Our trim carpenter, Paul, was in on the meeting, and helped with the details, as he and his brother do metal railings.  We’ve used them on other projects, and they do meticulous work.  Josh Weltman will be installing his custom wine island and Powder Room vanity the weekend of 12/29.  Looking forward to seeing those pieces go in.  Neal is ready to template for the countertops as soon as the all of the cabinets are installed.  I will have the shower doors templated in the next week or so.  – – – Dave
