Beautiful warm weather this week, which mean snow melt and runoff are at their peaks. The road to Kelly is closed due to flooding, the bike path is under 3′ of water, and Cattleman’s bridge over the Gros Ventre on Spring Gulch Road is closed due to high water until further notice. But the site is nice and dry – the crew has finished siding on the north and west sides of the ARU, and cabinet install will be mostly wrapped up by Monday. The oak flooring has been ordered from Fates, and its lead time will determine the remaining schedule over there. The masons are finishing grouting the stone ledge on the rock wall, and are moving up top to the chimneys. We hope to pour the front entry and mudroom slabs next week, and complete the stone work at the front as well. The insulators returned yesterday to install sound batts on the interior walls, and the carpenters are taking care of any last minute adjustments or blocking to framing. We expect sheetrock to arrive on Monday. The plumbers, electricians and HVAC are working on finishing up the basement so we can insulate and catch the downstairs up to the main level.
