The house is starting to take it’s final shape, with the roof trusses being set this week. Most of them were installed on Monday. The Living Room trusses did not get set on Monday, as the interior ridge of the Living Room was off by 1 1/2″, so they had to rebuild that section of 9 trusses. They will be set with a crane tomorrow. The crew has already started to work on the gable overhangs, and installing the roof sheathing. We should be ready for the roofer to dry-in the roof in a couple of weeks. I met with the Pella rep. yesterday, and we went over all of the windows and doors. Plan on placing the order tomorrow, except for the front entry door. We want to review all of the options for that door, before ordering, just to make sure it is correct. Still warmer than usual for this time of year – it was 40º at 6:30 this morning! Not typical for early February. Much too early for mud season! – – – Dave
