Over 40 years of home building in Jackson Hole
Bontecou Construction has been building high-quality, custom homes in the Jackson Hole region for over thirty years. Steve Bontecou began building and renovating homes and commercial space in 1973, and founded Bontecou Construction in 1978.
Our company has the reputation of building the finest crafted custom homes in the entire region. We work with some of the area’s leading architects and pride ourselves on exceeding expectations on unique and challenging projects. The construction of a private residence designed by internationally acclaimed architect Cesar Pelli incorporated a main gallery framed by 30″ diameter Engleman Spruce posts. For our work on this home we were the recipient of the 1993 American Wood Council’s top award.
Our attention to detail carries through to every aspect of the job. First and foremost is our dedication to meeting budgets and completing projects on time. We also offer an unmatched level of service with one of our highly skilled project managers personally assigned to each and every project. Our seasoned team of project managers, led by Dave Hammond (25 years experience) – insure that your project progresses smoothly from start to finish.
Our expertise covers all facets of custom construction, from log construction to cutting-edge contemporary, from antique timber to custom concrete, from recycled and reclaimed materials to state-of-the-art technologies. Many of our projects include multiple structures with demanding and distinctive materials and details. We are also highly experienced in full renovations of existing residences.
Our work has been recognized both within and far beyond the Jackson area. Bontecou Construction projects have been featured in such publications as “The New York Times Sunday Magazine,” “The New American House,” “Real Life Renovating,” and “DCD Home” as well as “Jackson Hole Magazine” and “Teton Home”.
